The areas of stonework that are in the asphalt can be designed to look as if they were chosen at random. Or, they can have a strategic layout, such as having the stonework areas added into the parking lot where people are most likely going to walk or around the light posts and going up the handicap ramps. In your driveway, you can have the stonework frame the driveway, or you can create something like a stonework diamond right in the middle of the driveway.
